Our kind are known for certain things. Not all of them are bad, but a lot. Those beneath us try to explain what we do. Try to justify or rationalise it. They want so bad to understand us that they will twist themselves in pieces trying to find a way to have the same thinking as we do.
We’ve told them, many times, that they wont understand. Some of us even say that they cant understand. We are too different. We want, and need, things that are alien to them. They dont get the concepts we present.
The truth is, they are the ones who created the split between the good things we do and not so good things we do. We dont have that distinction. They are just things we do. They benefit us, as we do them, and for our existence, such as it is, what other justification do we need? They claim that our actions have consequences for them, and sure, that is true in some regards, but we arent doing these things to interfere with them. We dont actively seek to harm them, but if they are affected by our actions, should we stop being who we are? Should we change our lives, our very existence because these small flashes of life get hurt when we live our own lives? Of course not. They dont consider the smaller flashes of life beneath them, as much as they are beseeched as they beseech us.
They claim that we dont care about them, and that could be true. I cant speak for my own kind, of course. Merely myself. I certainly dont care about the individual beneath me, in fact I dont care about a lot of individuals within my kind. I care about the whole. Because thats the important part. Ensuring that the whole is, well, whole is the main path through our supposed conflict. We arent in conflict with them. We cant be. We have other things, so far removed from them, to deal with – including actual, real conflict. Yet they continue to accuse us of certain things. Maybe, on their terms, with their definitions, we are guilty of those things. I think a few of us have taken an interest in the rationalising and the justifying. Not that they would ever have to answer these accusations. Its more of a way for us to understand them. They may not be able to wrap their minds around how we operate, but the reverse isnt true. We can understand them. I dont think I would be interested in reading all that information, but a part of me is glad someone is taking the initiative.
So, yeah, they are probably right: We dont care. But so what?
That brings the story back into my lap. The context, beyond whats mentioned, is probably not too important. After all, I havent been told all of it. I can only relay what I know, and some of that is so esoteric and unhinged that I think that I need some time to collect myself as it is.
We all know that life, as a general concept, exists in tiers. We know that we arent in the highest or lowest tier. We are high enough to know that there are at least three tiers above us, and seven below. We are too low to be able to traverse more than a single tier on either side. Basic elementary stuff. I dont need to go over that at all.
But that knowledge isnt just gained, its earned. If you are ready, a path to the knowledge reveals itself. But its never the same. We learned about the tiers themselves before we learned there was life on them. Then we learned about the life and then we learned about the kinds of life. Those higher are more powerful, I know thats not the right word, bear with me, and those below are less powerful. We get that, we’re all taught that. Some of us get to experience it, while others have nothing to do with any of it. Our existence as a species does not change with or without this knowledge. But we have become richer, in every sense of the word, as a consequence.
The tier below the tier below us is starting to understand. They have found examples of life from the tier above. How this happened is of no consequence to us. We do not police them as we are not policed by those above. So these people, two tiers down, they did what any of us would do. They started to learn. They took these examples of life and they cut them up. If you read the history books, we did the same. Yes, its uncivilised and backwards, but the younger need to make their own mistakes. They will likely suffer for it, but it is not for us to determine that suffering. What is is for us to determine is the fate of those directly below us. The ones that cry to us about not being fair. That we should be helping them to quote deal with unquote those beneath them is, of course, not a crime in and of itself, but they are actively seeking ways to hand that learning I talked about, that path to knowledge, to those beneath. That is something that we cannot stand. And if we let that happen, then we would drag in those above us.
We arent their parents, or their overseers. We arent the police or any form of authority over them. We are unable to force them to do anything. But we cannot let them hand out information to life that hasnt earned it. I dont know what will happen if those lower beings are allowed information they havent earned. No one does. If it has happened before, that tier has been removed. That history has been unwritten. I dont want to brag, but there was a time, some years ago now, where I met a being from a tier four above ours. The concept of this being eludes me, as it eludes everyone still, but their existence is cemented within me. It is not hyperbole to say that anyone who interacted with it in any way is actually a part of it. A tendril that exists beyond the body. If it even has, or had, a body. I can feel it when I dream. The eyes of someone, something else. My point is that this being let it slip that there are beings, not from their tier, from a higher tier still, that can – and do – remove entire tiers. Destroy reality of an entire level of existence. Why? Who can say? How? Impossible to explain. But they can, they do, and its not a stretch to believe that they have.
You understand, or begin to, I think. Not that I think there is an understanding to be had. Much like those beneath us, not understanding how we live and interact with them, we cannot understand those above us. The immediate tier above are genial, if not friendly. They may not be day to day experiences in our lives, but only the most sheltered of us dont have a story about them. Apparently they want nothing to do with anything beneath us. Again, though, it is hard to come to terms with how they perceive problems like this. Its possible they dont want to deal with it because they dont know how to. The implication, of course, is that they are willing to let it go higher until the only ones who do know how, rend that whole tier from existence. Now, I will say that this next bit, I disagree with, but we, as a society, have decreed that we dont want that to happen. We have to step in.
I want to state for the record, that I acted in accordance with the directives given to me by the people with the authority to do so. Those directives, so far as I can ascertain, were created due to an implied threat of violence from superior tiers. While I, personally, may not have agreed with the directives, nor the manner in which they were written, I carried out my job in the manner that I have always carried out my job.
The task undertaken, in my understanding, clarified as correct on multiple occasions was to prevent the life on the tier immediately below us from assisting the life on the tier immediately below them from gaining knowledge and understanding they were not ready for. For this, we developed an envoy. A team of apparent diplomats who were directed to act as a means of addressing the accusations, or charges, or complaints, or however you wish to describe them that the life beneath us have thrown at us over the years. They would sit down with their representatives and hear them out. Take notes. It was all a front. Their distraction would allow my people to find where the communication between them and the lower tier was, find out everything we could, and put a stop to it. We would quote deal with unquote each individual who was responsible. Anyone, anywhere who knew even a hint of it would be dealt with. And then we would go lower. We would annihilate them. Take them back to their previous evolutionary forms. Rewind their history and make them start again. We would find out where and how the examples of higher life they found were and remove them. We would force them to find another way up the ladder, so to speak.
That was where the real problem started. That was where we learned something we didnt expect to. We dealt with the tier below us without drama. Our diplomats convinced theirs that we were taking them seriously and came back up. Their jobs done, they went back to their usual routine and everything there was complete, and signed off on. My team, myself included, were still down there. We had no real concerns about being found out, or being prevented from doing what we were doing. One by one, the people who were involved were taken out. It didnt take long, sixteen years by their reckoning, but every inch of their scheme was eliminated. Right now there are no people who knew about it, even in rumour. For this sort of thing to happen again, everything starting from the lower tier, would have to happen in the exact same way. Which is why, of course, we went lower and were to rewind their history, and remove any examples of the triggering event from occurring again. But that was where the problem lay. We found the location of the examples of the tier aboves life. In fact, we found fifteen examples. These werent accidents. They were deliberately placed in order for the lower life to find them.
